Hello Patriots!
I hope you are all doing well and surviving another crazy week. Mr. Foote and I are getting a bit stir crazy but are finding ways to stay busy and entertained. This week, we are supposed to have some nice weather so we are looking forward to doing some work outside! Doing yard work outside usually always counts as physical activity depending on the work being done! This week is the last week of our 'continued learning' and we will begin our 'new learning' on April 20th when we return back from our 'Spring Break'. If you have not heard yet, the high school teachers are working on developing assignments and other work that we will begin grading starting April 20th. Obviously, for us PE teachers, these assignments are going to look a little different and we are still trying to figure everything out and work out all the kinks. Please be on the lookout for an email from me with more information in the next few weeks. This week, I am posting both a Dance Fitness channel and a Yoga channel from YouTube. I have been having fun finding different videos and then also trying them out as well. Dance Fitness Channel #2: LIVELOVEPARTY.TV – https://www.youtube.com/user/livelovepartyTV This YouTube channel has a good mix of current popular songs and the typical Zumba type songs. Most of the dances I looked at and tried were easy to learn and had easy moves, which included a mix of Zumba like dance moves and typical dance fitness dance moves. Yoga Channel #2: Yoga with Adriene – https://www.youtube.com/user/yogawithadriene Adriene has numerous yoga videos of varying length, for various purposes, and varying types of yoga. Adriene has also put the videos into playlists based on length and types. There are a lot of options to choose from on Adriene’s channel and many of them are flows that focus on mindfulness and calming the body and mind.
